Hello listers!  Catch Cherry and Archie at this week’s edition of Stripped at Route 196 (see their bulletin below).

 

Stripped is a special production of Route 196, wherein musicians are stripped of their regular bands or backup musicians and perform solo, accompanying themselves or with just an accompanying acoustic guitarist.  Cherry will be singing tomorrow night (Wed. Dec. 5), accompanied by Archie.  Also in the lineup are Uela Basco and Dan Gil of the Chillitees and a few others, most of whom should be familiar to those of you who’ve watched Cherry Cornflakes gigs over the past years.

 

Route 196 (formerly Inihaw Republic) is on Katipunan Ave., beside gate 1 of Blue Ridge subd., near the corner of Santolan and Katipunan.  If you’re coming from Libis, DO NOT TAKE the underpass; Route 196 will be on your right, a little past Blue Ridge.  If you make the mistake of taking the underpass, you will slightly overshoot Route 196, but you can still walk back if you get off the road and find parking space quickly enough after coming up from the underpass.

 

For those of you to whom Katipunan is synonymous with Miriam College and Ateneo, Route 196 is on the opposite end, the one going to Libis.  If you’re going in that direction Route 196 will be to your left on the other side of road.  Just take the U-turn above the underpass, right before Santolan.
