Horowitz video

Watched Horowitz video tonight "Horowitz in
London" and he played the Chopin Ballade No.1, Op.23 in
g. Was pleayed very well technically but somehow
lacking the magic it takes to make a once in a lifetime
performance. Even still I fealt lucky and honored to see this
great work performed in front of me, what an earth
shaking composition.<br><br>My favorite compositions ever
are the Chopin Ballade No 4 and Rachmaninoff's
Variations on a theme of Chopin. Having said this, I
actually perfer violin to piano, if only there were to
transcribe the solo voice for violin and have violin and
piano be played togather. Maybe someday?
