I noticed that Larry's passing was mentioned on the Grammy Awards.

Don - Glad to hear you're getting in the Gospel Music Channel.
I'll have to tell my relative who is a Brighthouse subscriber.

I have Comcast, which in our area offers Gospel Music Channel features
via their On Demand service, but sadly doesn't offer the actual
channel.   It seems that since many channels have gone digital there
should be some spare bandwidth on their service for this channel.

very excited to see that PFR are playing together again. The last timne I saw them was at GMA Week in Nashville where I interviewed them for my radio show over here (www.crossrhythms.co.uk). later that week I buimped into them in a packed elevator and they spent a couple of minutes really ribbing me for my Englaish accent and made everyone in there laugh at me. This was all good but just as they got to their floor, the last thing I said to them was "hey guys, nice bumping into you and Mark! Great to see you back in men's clothes again!" As the door to the elevator shut behind them, the elevator went really quiet. There was some sniggering until one guy said to me "great comeback man!" The band themselves laughed with me about it later. I always liked PFR so I hope it'll mean some more dates from them in the future.

 

Elsewhere let me give you a heads up on a new band, if you haven't heard of them yet. they're from ireland and called Bluetree. I went to visit them in belfast last summer when they were recording their debut album and immediately thought. "I've found the new Delirious?" I think they are. be prepared for them when they hit the USA. They#ve already been over a bit but the band are great and very passionate. Can't wait to see how America takes to them.

Is it just me or does it seem to anyone else that the current trend
to "buy" or bid on VIP seats and access to artists seem not to be quite
right? Even saw Chris Toml;in on the list (who I have a lot of respect
for). I realize that the artists may not be behind this stuff but
they're participating in it. Our local Third Day concert coming up is
selling these VIP seats/meet and greet too. I know, they wouldn't sell
them if no one was buying. It's just starting to bug me I guess, it
just doesn't seem right, I don't know. If you have enough money- as
they say, all things are possible...By the way, the VIP Third Day
tickets- $77.00, amazing. I wonder if churches have VIP pews or better
yet, a better seat at a certain banquet table.

Years ago I was encouraging the CCMusic industry to add closed
captions to their music videos so that more people can have access to
the message in the lyrics.

Here is yet another way to add a level of communication to a segment
of the potential audience...


"Not letting being deaf stand in the way of his dream, Sean started a
non-profit called D-PAN, or Deaf Performing Artists' Network. It aims
to make the music industry and music culture more accessible to the
hearing impaired, namely by making popular music videos ASL (American
Sign Language) - enhanced."
