Hi Brian,
It certainly is good to see another posting from you.
I to have had my time with a cardiologist and more
time to come. Nothing wrong, but there seems to be
some merit in waiting to see a physician because I get
a lot of it. I guess it's part of learning patience.
Your suggestion of a 2010 gathering certainly sounds
good. At his moment I have no idea who, where, or how,
but with that kind of lead time perhaps someone will
come forward with some workable ideas. I can only hope
that a fairly central location in the U.S. or Canada
can be agreed upon. Whereas some would not mind a
coast to coast trip for such an event, others may find
it a bit too challenging. I just know that I would
really love the experience and fellowship of meeting
with brothers and sisters I have yet to meet.
It's always interesting to me that highland clearances
took place during the same time as the slavery issue
was being dealt with in the U.S. Harriette Beecher
Stowe who had so much to say about slavery here was
not the least interested in the highland clearances
when she visited Scotland and was told of them. I've
always found that strange.
Blessings,
Dick
