Hi Christina! I’m Shiela Recupero of Batangas, Philippines. This is
my first time to send e-mail to my idol. First of all, I want to tell you that
you are the best! You were such a good interpreter for a song. Beside from the
fact that you are beautiful (really…I swear! From the way you carry your style
and to the way you project.), you are also blessed with a lot of talents. What
sets you apart is that voice, the special instrument that has been God’s gift to
you. I had read an article about your biography this past month, and it really
inspired me. The story of your life is really great. Having a lot of
experiences since your childhood is such a great thing to be inspired of. All
those trials that you had encountered really made you a real strong person.
Still many people are trying to bring you down. But they are just wasting their
time. They keep on saying a lot dirty words that could pull you to the ground.
It is just that they don’t really know and understand who you are. (Others were
just jealous.). I also heard a news from someone saying: “Christina’s songs were
clean, but her image was dirty.” But who is that someone anyway? Is that someone
knows you better than the rest of your fans? I don’t think so.

It’s just you are showing who you really are. And that is really good. Showing
us your real self. For instance your video “Dirrty” pertains an underground
party. Did they ever had been somewhere like it before? Why can’t they
understand that it was really part of that? Girls dancing wet….etc. A word that
really fits for them,. …IGNORANCE! Regarding the songs, did they know who
composed most of it? Well, sorry for them if they don’t know who did it. It
was just the same person whom they called “dirty”. Well persons who spread bad
rumors just come and go. I pity them. Well, enough for that. What I really
love about your songs were the lyrics. Though I really had a hard time
understanding the lyrics of your Spanish album, I still love the rhythm and the
way it was delivered. Little by little I can understand the lyrics of some of
your Latin songs (Philippines was colonized by the Spaniards for a long
time…roughly 333 years around the 1500’s). What really struck me is the “Pero
Me Acuerdo De Ti”, “Si No Te Hubiera Conocido” and “Contigo En La Distancia”. I
also love your song “Infatuation”, “Beautiful”, “Cruz”, “The Voice Within” and
“I’m OK”. Though I did not mention some of your songs, I still really love it
all. I really want to keep it to my heart forever! Thank you for those songs.
It really inspired me.. …and still inspiring me. Anyway, I’m not only your fan
here. We are really waiting for your tour here in the Philippines. It’s ok if
it is not right know because of security risks. A lot of your fans would
definitely watch your concerts that the security could no longer control the
crowd (like what happened in Romania). Sorry if I couldn’t make it for the next
weeks. Maybe I’m busy but I’ll still try to reply. Thanks for being an
