you can go that route, but I say why spend 10-20$ on a set of 6 pegs when at
Back porch mojo...you can get what you need, 3 or 4 string pegs and under $10...
check it out!!

Big Daddy
hey guys! long time member, first time poster here!!
alright, obviously geared tuners are favored and best, but they're EXPENSIVE.
zither pin tuners work GREAT and are CHEAP but it's a pain in the butt gathering
wrenches for people when i build my instruments and hand them out
solution: resort to eye bolts for tuners (?)
i know the original (modern) CBGs used eye bolts for tuners, but i've never had
much luck. should one use them as friction tuners, or in combination with nuts
as a compression tuner?
has ANYONE here had good, reliable, dependable results with eye bolt tuners?
what size? what size hold drilled? how did you attach steel strings to them
reliably?
thanks in advance to ANYONE that can help me resolve my question.
i've attempted using them before, but they may have been too small, because low
E and low A strings would not hold tension....
thanks again!!!!
JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED OUR REVIEW OF "HOW TO PLAY THE KAZOO"...from Sterling Publishing / Barnes & Noble. (with several full page pictures of unique KAZOOZ from Captain Kazooz Kazoo Museum.)
Have you seen the results of the Cigar Box Nation shirt vote? The black shirt
won with 57% of the vote. The runner up is the tan shirt with 31%. Both are
for sale right now at the Cigar Box Nation Store.
(http://shanespeal.bigcartel.com) You can buy either one...or both in a special
package deal that includes a free "Masters of the Cigar Box Guitar LIVE" cd.
Thanks to all who voted. This was cool. Wanna do it again in a month or two?

I have been unable to view or vote...every time I have tried to pull up the Nation, it freezes in the window and sometimes freezes the entire computer.
It is the only page that does this to me, so I think it might be on your end...what do you think?
I have not seen the preview, but I will intuitively vote for the weathered balck over red, as I never wear red shirts....so the black would be one I would buy and wear.
Other news, the Hobo Friend CB Parlour guitar is almost done and it already sounds pretty darn good....amazing what a guy can do with sticks and strings!
Keep up the Good Work!

Other quick news bits:
