hello wilfsdad... "wheesht" is a scottish term for "be quiet",
so it would seem natural that children in scotland [a country
where the phrase "children should be seen and not heard"
was popular in the 1960's/1970's] might have heard it a few
times whilst growing up.simple as that.no connection
between them i'm sure.if i recall correctly,"wheesht" was part
of the original "HUSH" project that was intended to follow up
"In This World".a project about shutting up i think.hmmm....
in any case that turned into "Wappinschaw" and the parts
were scattered into that record.a'ight...
