On this 10th day of December in 1932 perrenial Jazz bassist Bob
Cranshaw was born in Evanton, IL.
Cranshaw played and / or toured with such jazz greats as Wes
Montgomery, Coleman Hawkins, McCoy Tyner, Thelonius Monk, Ella
Fitzgerald, Buddy Rich, Oscar Peterson and many more. Bob was also a
regular in the cast of Sesame Street for many years.

Inluential Blues guitarist Guitar Slim (Eddie Jones), who wrote the
Blues classic "The Things I used to Do" and was a major influence on
Albert Collins, Lonnie Brooks, Buddy Guy and others, was born in
Greenwood, MS on this day in 1926.

for Imperial Records. The legend from New Orleans recorded "The Fat
