Are you on this list because you want a copy of The Big Surprise?
Well, you're definitely in the right place! But, we're not giving it
away just yet. First, we want to share a bit of our current position
and our vision with you. We hope to hear your comments on this, a
very personal letter from our senior editor.

DEAR FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND COUNTRYMEN,

Hello, I am josh, one of cMusicWeb.com's writers for about four years
now. I've been overjoyed to have this outlet to share thoughts about
God, artistry, and what-not, and would like to thank those who've
given feedback, and all readers for just being there. As of this
writing, many exciting developments are on the horizon for
cMusicWeb.com, while some things need explaining.

Musicforce.com, our sales fulfillment website, was recently bought
out by Christianbook.com; while we wish the megasite well, its
affiliate program was terminated in the buyout process. Thus, CDNow
has become our only source for click-through purchasing. Though they
sell CDs at reasonable prices, their inventory is spotty as worship
albums go. Many links to buy are not working, or are simply not
there. We apologize for this inconvenience (it's not a "money
concern," as cMusicWeb.com has never turned a profit). If you value
our content, we ask only that you consider buying music through us
(simply click on an album's cover next to its review).

On to exciting developments. We have entered into an official
affiliation with TeamCE.com, whose parent organization Christian
Endeavors literally began U.S. youth ministry in 1891. Their
innovative website features in-depth articles, expert columns, custom-
made newsletters... and now worship reviews from cMusicWeb.com. This
promises to open many new doors for us, and we'd like to recognize
TeamCE.com's site director for pursuing this new relationship.

Most of you know that cMusicWeb.com often takes minutes to load--
certainly an obstacle for potential viewers. In September, we will be
switching to a simpler design: still very modern, just faster on your
modem. News on the main page and artist pages will be easier to
update thanks to an ingenious system developed by webmaster Dan
Ficker and resident techie Lucas Epp. You'll also notice some content
changes: the Books section will be expanded, Film/TV reviews will be
moved into "features," and other minor changes to make your
cMusicWeb.com surfing smoother. Through exclusive interviews,
revealing columns and more, we remain committed to showing readers "a
different approach" to not just music, but life itself.

As already noted, writing and designing cMusicWeb.com is the unpaid
work of a staff committed to bringing readers a high level of
excellence (higher than many subscription-based publications). If you
enjoy music and writing--and can make a reasonable time commitment--
consider joining the staff. Your work could be the next thing sent
out in the weekly cMusicMail, or featured as a monthly "Pick" on the
main page. Specifically, we're looking for writers with a passion to
review Books, Movies and Live Concerts. E-mail me at
josh@... if this something you'd be interested in.

God bless you all, and thanks for reading!

Well, we had a blast at the second annual cMusicWeb.com Editor's
Conference, and we even impressed ourselves by actually getting some
work done on this glorified slumber party. :-) But, we know that
some great things are coming in the future of cMusicWeb.com,
including an in-depth article in the Dallas Morning News! (We're
told that it's currently scheduled to show on August 4th, and we're
really excited.) Thanks for reading this week's cMusicMail, and
we'll be back next week with even more great content. If you have
any comments or questions, please reply to this e-mail or send them
to webmaster@... We'd love to hear from you!
