Venharis on A Windows 98 system?

I will hope for Phil T.'s input here, as I especialy do like
Gingerbread. It sounds like a "DLL-HELL" problem. Does it give any
warning about VB6SKIT.dll being overwritten by an older version from the
install?

With Venharis - it would not suprise me if the install is trying to
contact a non-existant site...for this I'd reboot the machine (probably
needs it anyway) and see if you can open the application.

Phil J.

Hi Phil J. !
During installation of either software(Gingerbread and Venharis)I get several
messages saying the particular file is newer on my drive than the same file
trying to be installed. Does it seem possible that these newer version files are
not compatible with the software installation? In that case, should I remove the
newer versions and put back in the exact version that is on the installer .cab
directory? Perhaps these newer versions of the same file got installed by a
Windows 98 upgrade that I installed before Microsoft discontinued support for
Windows 98 , Windows ME, and Windows 2000? This one is really bothering me to
the point where I am really trying to figure out any possibility for this.
I remember several years ago I had installed the Venharis demo version and had
no problem at all with the install. I still had Windows 98 then too. I wonder if
it is really just the .dll versions that are the wrong stamp date for the
installer to work!
Before I go ahead and do anything I would like to get more feedback from you
and of course it would be great if Phil T. would see this message and possibly
suggest something!
Best Regards.
