Greetings!

Summer's really heating up here in the Northern Hemisphere and I
hope you are all out there getting to enjoy it! For those of you in
cooler climes...enjoy that too!

Audrey Pearson reports that the West Coast Live show, which was
recorded at the Kate Wolf Festival on June 29th, is archived for all
to hear at: http://www.wcl.org/home.html so you can 'virtually'
attend the concert and listen to Bruce and company on that starry
night. Happy listening! You can read Bobbi's awesome fan report on
our On My Beat forum further down the front page to get a real feel
for the weekend.

Bruce's listeners will remember that 'Closer to the Light' (Dart to
the Heart) was written in memory of Mark Heard, Bruce's friend and
fellow singer/songwriter, who died of a sudden heart attack at the
age of 40 almost 10 years ago, on August 16, 1992. Bruce wrote that
song for Mark and also contributed to the two Heard tribute
albums 'Strong Hand Of Love' (1994) and 'Orphans of God' (1996)

A new website, The Mark Heard Tribute Project, honoring Mark's memory
will be appearing online on August 16th to commemorate that date.
