Firstly... I've got fantastic copies of the demos you
lost, burned to CD by a pro - from original tapes.
Contact me @ optimismsflames@... and I'll try to
help you out. Although... if you just wait a bit
you'll be able to buy the demos yourself, from the
band.
I spoke with Andy recently, and can't go into great
detail here... but he's not too happy with the labels
he's currently with either. There's a question of a
fair amount of money owed by one of the labels... and
not much support from another. Expect to see yet
another change in the future.
The reason you aren't seeing more "new" material right
now from the band?... uh, there is no "new" material.
All the old tunes are being put together for the Fuzzy
Warbles releases... which will include the demos your
player munched on. It will also include the James and
the Giant Peach demos - Window Box demos... hell,
everything.
Andy has also written about 50 songs with other
artists... these two will see the light o day later
this year.
I played phone tag with Andy last week... he left a
message on my work voice mail saying that he'd been
working on a new song in his "little shed"... good
news indeed.
