Experience some of the excitement of the Barbershop Harmony Society competition as Sound of the Rockies and competing quartets preview their contest numbers.  The concert is FREE with donations gratefully accepted.

 

As many of you know, Sound of the Rockies placed third in last year’s Barbershop Harmony Society contest.  The chorus is proud to again represent the Rocky Mountain District next week at this year’s hard-fought but harmonious contest against 27 other choruses in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

Five chapter quartets:

  Revolution

  Thunder Box

also qualified to compete in the quartet contest against 45 other quartets from around the world.

 

The chorus contest will be held in two sessions on Friday, July 4^th.  Sixteen district champion and twelve wild cards choruses will compete for the gold medal.  

 

Sound of the Rockies will sing third in the first session which begins at 10:00 am MDT.

 

Quartet quarter- and semi-finals are held Quartet finals will be held on July 5^th to determine the quartet champion.
