Strange how things turn out. I saw a bizarre gig at Milngavie Horse Riding
School (Glasgow) , circa 1970 ?, on a freezing cold night , at the start of
which Jon announced that Chris Farlow had been unable to make it due to a throat
infection. The shivering audience cheered.
The perception ,at that time, was that Chris was a "pop" artist and was
sullying the purity of the band. How wrong we were.
That said , Dave Clemson sang, and a good night was had by all amongst the
horse droppings and sawdust.
Anybody know the history behind that event ?
