Hi Rob,

It seems Dick got taken ill just before the start of their last European
tour, and has not taken any part in it. Barbara Thompson has stood in for Dick
and continues to do so. After the Prague gig last November Barbara told me
it was his liver. Dave Greenslade said last night that it has spread so I
assume it is the big C.

At the Wiesen gig Jon announced from the stage that Dick was not able to
perform at the moment and that he is very poorly. He said that throughtout the
tour they have always booked him flights and hotel rooms on the off chance
that he might turn up. Dick was in the audience at the Milton keynes gig in
February and looked very frail. He came up on stage after the band played to
a pre-recording of Dick.

Let's hope things are not as bleak as they might now seem.
