This was definitely the best Colosseum album for me.
I'd bought Valentyne Suite following a live gig at The
Place in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, on the Valentyne
Suite tour, but it was the sound and feel of Daughter
of time which really pushed my buttons, and I reckon
shaped my musical tastes for the next 30 odd years
(and got me into playing sax). Special tracks: Three
Score and Ten, Take Me Back To Doomsday, and
definitely Downhill and Shadows. I still listen to
this album today, and it's as fresh now as it was
then.
