I only heard 'Daughter' much later on. I have to say I was not that
impressed compared with the first two albums. I thought that
Colosseum's main strength was its instrumental prowess as borne out
by 'Valentyne Suite'. But interesting this was also to some extent
corroborated by 'Colosseum Live', the third album, because on it Chris
Farlowe uses his voice much more as an instrument as heard on the
magnificent 'Tanglewood '63'. So 'Daughter IMHO was a bit of a let
down for me. I did try to like it!
