Re: [Colosseum Lives] colosseum book

Hi Martyn (and others of course)
I was a great fan of Colosseum when Daughter of time came out. And I
must say, that I was really disappointed. After Valentyne I expected a
more complex music, more of progressive rock I suppose. And I had big
problems with Chris F singing. After a while there were some songs that
grew, Downhill and shadows, Themes o a i w, Bring out the dead. Still
today I regard Daughter of Time as the weakest Colosseum album. I don't
play it very often, comparing to the first two. I also think it has a
weak technical production too. The sound lack the clearity and CF sounds
as he sings in a box or something.
Nowadays I believe Chris F is one of the greatest singers and very
important to Colosseum. The first live album changed my mind. That is a
great album.
Cheers
Mats of Sweden
