Jon and Gerry Bron said that mark 2 was
a 'logical progression' from the orginal band. Is that how you guys
viewed it?

Of course Tempest followed Colosseum and ,from my own point of view, I
couldn't whip up any enthusiasm for that particular rebirth.

2 was quite different. I never managed to see them live ( I had become
aware, by this time, that I had to earn money to survive and attending gigs
became
the first casualty of my new regime), but I thought all three albums were
stunning. The band was a real step into the future, they exhibited a mix of
explosive and restrained sounds that mirrored the loose cannon that was Gary
Moore, bursting out of the envelope of control laid down by Hiseman....sublime
subtelty and chaos in one package. I often wonder if Moore considers these
albums to contain some of his finest work.

Anyone know why they split?

Best wishes to all for xmas.
PS. Thought Wardance was marginally the best of the three albums.
Phil Parker
