It was written by Stephen Friedland, who wrote songs for people like
The Tokens, Del Shannon and The Chiffons. He is probably most noted
for writing and performing "The King Of Fuh", one of Apple Records
more obscure releases. Maybe when he was in the UK negotiating with
the Beatles, he fell in with someone connected to the Creation? Of
course, this was the Ronnie Wood era Creation, not the infinitely
more brill Eddie Phillips period! Not really sure how The Creation
ended up recording it. "Castles of longing from the dream makers
hand" indeed!
