The pickups in the GT-7 are actually active bartolini pickups. It also
has the Bass and Treble controls. Yes, it is active all the time.

Hi guys,
any knowledge on the back of neck finish? Someone wrote the GTBD7 was
overall polyurethane which would imply the GT7 is... not? Also: I see
four knobs on the GT7. I don't see any toggle on/off for the preamp.
I do see what I suspect is a battery compartment. Is there a preamp?
Is it always on? Can I just chuck the battery out and play passive?
Also is $850 w hardshell a going price?
