Re: [Conklin Instrument Owners] What gauge for F# for 7-string

Skip has done extensive research into the subharmonic range and into what it
takes to reproduce those tones. I trust him but haven't tried the strings.

Does anyone here have any experience or thoughts about a .180 F#.
Please let me know. He also suggested mating the .180 to a 6-string

the Snakeskin is a fine string but it doen't hold its "edge" long.
the S.I.T. is really wonderful. it takes a while to break it in but
it will hold that sound for ages.
