Hi Mike,
try this, this is what I do: if you have over-head shower, disconnect the
handle-part and put it together with the bocal (the wider side) and run the
water at highest speed; be prepared to get wet yourself. Works well for both,
bassoon and contrabassoon.

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for bocal swabs/brushes for both
bassoon and contra. I currently have a brush style for each of my instruments
and both of them have the same problem: they are just barely longer than the
bocals themselves and are not stiff enough to offer enough resistance to push
through easily. I've never tried the swab style so I'm curious what people
think. Thanks for any input.
