No, but I have used Krylon semi-gloss and flat spray paints on the topside on banjo heads with pretty good results. I've heard of others spraying the backside....

What I meant to say was that spray-ons work well, simple old Krylon paint from Wal-Mart, No fuss, no muss, no hair dryer, just a simple ppffft and let it dry....
