Shahin,
Thanks!
I especially liked Micro870226. A very daring tuning being used there. The music
felt like a surrealist spy series on 1960s TV, something like "The Prisoner."

Hi all
2 new musics are uploaded in:
http://240edo.googlepages.com/mymusic
1- Microtruamerei: A retuned music of Robert Schumann , Kinderszenen
Op.15 No.7 (Scenes from Childhood 7)-7. Traumerei (Reverie) . Retuning
is based on a non-octavic 12-tone scale made of 2 degrees of 96-EDO with
size of 137.5 and 150 cent and with a pattern as bab bab bab bab (
b=137.5 a=150)
2- Micro870226: A music based on 96-EDO ver of 12-ED(500.)

(or similar) now is: C=0, C#=1091, D=109, Eb=0, E=273, F=545, F#=382,
G=655, Ab=545, A=818, Bb=655, and B=927. Classical piano midi files
with a vibraphone timbre sound quite good when used with this musical
algorithm which can be used to explore or just to have fun.

From Robert. I am interested in all of the above. Thankyou.
Hi Robert,
Are you using the data to construct scales, or tuning structures of
some kind, or are you interested in the beauty of the cataloguing of
the terrain itself?
Just curious.......
Am interested myself in using harmonics up into the 1000s for
composition so was intrigued to know where you're coming from,
best wishes

Yes, I read that page. I see you are splitting octaves at the tritone or other
places and, taking
choose 3 of each side to get permutations (12 choose 3, 24 choose 3, 96 choose
3) and then
combining them with all the possibilities on the other side. I don't really have
much to say
about it I guess. Most the examples split at the tritone, which is an
interesting choice. I
guess more interesting is the process of choosing the specific combination
you'll use for a
given piece.
Hi dear scott
yes , but peace , now and in this world , seems to be such a rare thing
that I think we will talk about it mythically in future.

Happy new year to you and yours as well. I reciprocate your wish for
micro-peace, or even
macro-peace in these dark times.
These are wonderful compositions. I enjoyed them all. Particularly #1 and #3.
Best wishes.
Wow Mohajeri, this is an amazing one.
It's very distinctively Renaissance music, but it's quite distinctively
microtonal, yet the scale is
consistent in some way perceptually with Renaissance scale ideas like using a
sort of
pythagoreanish tuning, or at least it sounds that way.
But looking at the scale, it's not pythagorean at all, there's no pure fifths or
fourths in there.
The chart on your page suggests you are modulating all around with this scale.
Hi freind
Many thanks to you for your reply.and very glad you liked it. it was an
experiment with unequal tetrachords. mainly most of the modes have tetrachords
with size of 500 cent , so i tried to see how the changes will sound.
and best for you and your family.

I've been interested in 13 edo for a long time. This is one of the
first microtonal pieces I have worked on. It's kind of difficult to
work with this much dissonance. I never succeeded in adding some of the
parts that I wanted to, but I do find the harmonies to be very
interesting.

, the
greatest and famous Persian Emperor of the Achamenid Dynasty (580-529BC) and a
righteous human being. He was extraordinarily peerless in all over the world.
Comparing
Cyrus' manner with Semi's rulers, one feels great pleasure for the Persian
liberality and
generosity and truly regards the Persians as one of the instructors of human
rights.
Nice piece. I enjoyed it.
I read that there's been a lot of coverage in the Iranian press about the 300
movie. 300 is a
film version of an adult cartoon book ('graphic novel') by Frank Miller, the guy
who wrote
the Batman/Dark Knight graphic novels that became the modern Batman movies. 300
is
not meant to accurately represent actual events, just as Batman is not meant to
accurately
represent actual law enforcement practices. It's just a cartoon fantasy, no one
who sees it
thinks that Xerxes really looked like that or that people dressed that way or
rode battle
rhinoceroses, or such things.
