OK......most of you know that I write and play music. I've been
learning the the ropes and playing coffeehouses and open mics and
seldom promote my performances.

I'm breaking form and doing a little self-promotion for August....as
I've got some fun gigs this month, three of which with my very
talented guitar buddy, Dani Connell, playing lead. The New Song
Festival, while only a 2-3 song set, will be my first big festival
and biggest crowd to date. If you have time to catch us, it's always
appreciated. Here's the 411:

July 31, 2004- 7:30- 11pm SAW open mike at Red Rocks Cafe and Tequila
Bar - 13850-F Braddock Road, Centreville, VA . 703 815 6900. 25
minute solo set. I'm scheduled for 7:30pm.

August 14, 2004- 7-10 pm, open mic at the Coffeehouse of Occoquan,
202 Commerce St., Occoquan, Va. 703-492-8976 (call first). Cary
performs a 7 song set w. Dani Connell. Free. I'd reccomend this to
anyone who's interested. It's a quaint coffee/gift shop with killer
desserts. Some dinner options nearby.

August 16, 2004- 7:30-10 pm, The Jammin' Java Open Mic, hosted by
Kris Ohleth, i@ Jammin' Java, 227 Maple Ave. E., Vienna, VA.
703.255.1566. Free. Two songs with Dani Connell. We're slated for
8:20pm but could go earlier or later.

August 22, 2004- Sun. 12:00-1:30 pm - I'm one of seven SAW writers in
the round at Mountain Stage's New Song Festival. I'll have the
talented Dani Connell playing lead guitar on my songs (2-3 of
them!). Still, it's a big deal for me, if you're interested in
