Well, I'm not, and uhm... I'm a straight guy, so... You know what? I
think people have to start thinking outside their own box. Look, if
a straight guy walked down the street and saw the beauty that is
Dana, he would definitely turn around and maybe say something freaky
to her. Let's face it, the woman is a knock out! When I visited
Israel in 1996, I heard a song on the radio called Don Quichote.
being Latin myself, and this song sounds very Latin to me, I went to
the store, and I sang a part of the song, and that's how I got the
Maganuna album. I only speak a few words of Hebrew, so I had no idea
that she used to be a man. I was just so struck by her beauty. Then
she won the Eurovision soncontest, and that's when I found out about
her past. That didn't change my mind about her though. I think the
anxiety and fear that most straight men feel when they talk to a gay
person, or a transsexual comes from their own insecurities and
issues. I can tell you that I have an open heart and an open mind,
and I think more straight men like myself should try expanding their
minds... don't you think? Well, much respect and love to all,
always. AMARU (www.amaru.nl)
