1. Enter My Silence: Remotecontrolled Scythe (Melodic Swedish Death
Metal in the Gothenburg style we all know and love, very solid)
2. Entombed: Morning Star (Sounds like a mix of Fear Factory and
Slayer to me, pretty good)
3. Bathory: Hammerheart (The album that started what is now known as
Viking Metal, simply classic)
4. Pale Forest: Exit Mould (Lush high female vocals over hard rock
tinged atmospheric metal, very good)
5. Paradise Lost: Shades of God (3rd album mixing doom/death/Goth in
a masterful way, a great album)
6. Cannibal Corpse: Tomb of the Mutilated (92 album that really upped
the heaviness and brutality of their style and blows away their 1st 2
releases even if its not a great album)
7. Rhapsody: Legendary Tales (97 debut that began their brilliant
career and storyline, a must for all speed/power metal fans)
8. Godsmack: Awake (heavy commercial hard rock/metal that is pretty
enjoyable)
9. Star One: Space Metal limited edition 2 CD set (not far removed
from his Ayreon, but this Arjen Anthony Lucassen project stands
strong on its own with solid music and vocals by Russell Allen, Dan
Swano and more, a very good album)
10. Dreams of Sanity: The Game (Melodic metal featuring nice female
vocals and a solid musical base, a very good album that fans of
female vox need to hear (same with Pale Forest))
11. Paradise Lost: Icon (4th album that takes their powerful guitars
and clean vocals to the forefront along with quality song structures
and lyrics, their 2nd excellent album in a row)
12. Gehenna: Adimiron Black (Norwegian Black Metal, okay it pretty
much sucks though I guess some may enjoy it, I think they have better
albums, but after this I probably won't ever know)
