Re: [databenders] databending tools

Here's one:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~dwaes/audio/presentatie/975.mp3

Several examples rolled into one: The chords that go on all the way
through the track are a map on which the projected trajectory for
hurricane francis was displayed opened in Audacity, played back in
AudioMulch's LoopPlayer; the swirling sinewaves that come in a bit later
are the same map, resynthesized in Nicolas Fournel's AudioPaint and the
noisy drone is NOAA's hurricane warning broadcast for Francis, mangled
with BubbleBlower (although that's not really databending I think).
The title is 975 millibar, which is the lowest recorded pressure for
Francis.

I use Coagula too, but my databending is applied to graphical files as
well. UltraEdit and IrfanView are my tools of choise for those. Total
Commander with the AVI-plugin is nice, too, if insanely time consuming.

I'd love to be able to mess around with video files, too, but they tend
to come out unplayable because I destroy some vital keyframes or
metadata like that.

My webspace is pretty much maxed out so I can't upload any graphical
stuff, I think I'll start an account with Audioshot soon; I'll post some
examples when this is the case.

Groet, Erik
