Uncut Live DVD - Production Soon???   Message List

I have just received the latest update from King Biscuit
Entertainment on the new "Monkees - Live Summer Tour - Extended &
Uncut" DVD. They wanted to be sure that everyone knows they have not
forgetten about the Monkees fans and are still working on making
this product a reality. I was told they may actually go into
production soon for the DVD, because they feel that our current 300+
pre-orders is a good starting point and that once the DVD is
actually available to be shipped, they will get more purchases. Help
us get this DVD even faster by reserving your copy of the "Monkees -
Live Summer Tour - Extended & Uncut" DVD today!

For any fans who are unfamiliar with this DVD, here is a brief
history of the product: On August 31, 2001, The Monkees played a
concert in Anaheim, CA at the Sun Theatre that was filmed & recorded
by King Biscuit Entertainment. The concert was eventually released
on DVD & CD as "Live Summer Tour." Unfortunately, this DVD only
included one hour of the concert and the CD only featured 15 songs.
Earlier this year, Monkee fans rallied to get the full, uncut
concert released. King Biscuit responded with the announcement of a
pay-per-view broadcast of the complete concert on July 18, 2003. In
early June 2003, King Biscuit abruptly cancelled the PPV broadcast &
suggested a petition be started if fans were still interested in the
uncut concert. Monkeesrule43 Online took them up on their offer and
after just a month, the petition reached over 540 signatures. King
Biscuit was impressed with those numbers and on July 18, made a deal
with Monkees fans... They will accept pre-orders for an extended &
uncut DVD at the price of $49.98 and when 500 orders are placed,
they will make a one-time limited edition run of 1,000 DVDs & ship
them to those who reserved their copies.

So what makes this DVD so special? This was the FINAL Monkees
concert Peter Tork has ever performed in to date before he was
unexpectedly "fired" from the 2001 reunion tour. Believe it or not,
this is the only Monkees concert to be professionally filmed in its
entirety and since only a small number of uncut DVDs will be made,
this could become a rare and possibly valuable collector's item that
any fan will treasure. But what seperates this DVD from the original
version? The extended DVD will feature the complete two hour concert
and all 30+ songs & comedy bits, compared to the first DVD's 18-
song, hour long edited concert. The cost of this product will be
close to (if not cheaper than) an actual ticket to The Monkees' 2001
summer tour, and now you will be able to experience the thrill of
their live show anytime you want, in the comfort of your own home.
Finally, don't forget that King Biscuit Entertainment actually
listened to what the FANS wanted and is making an effort to satisfy
us, unlike what many other companies would have done.
