Back from the Omaha, Nebraska. Saw a show at Ted and Wally's ice cream
shop while I was there. It was an amazingly appropriate venue. Good ice
cream too. Missed DC though. Glad to be back. And now the list.

AL BURIAN, 34, is a writer, musician and artist currently splitting his
time between Chicago and Berlin. For the last decade he has written and
published the popular fanzine Burn Collector, an anthology of which,
entitled Burn Collector, is currently in its fifth edition. A collection
of his early comics was published in 2004. His writing has appeared in
Mediareader, Utne Reader XLR8R and Hit it or Quit it. He is a regular
columnist for both Punk Planet and Heartattack. His work has also
appeared on NPR. He also plays in the notable post punk bands Milemarker
and Challenger.

JESSICA HOPPER, 28, is a Chicago-based feminist music and culture critic
. For the last 14 years, she has published the fanzine Hit it or Quit
it. She is a columnist for Punk Planet and is a regular contributor to
Minneapolis City Pages and The Chicago Reader. Her work has also
appeared in SPIN, Vice, Bunnyhop, Seattle Weekly, Venus, Grand Royal, BB
Gun, Melody Maker. Her essay "Emo: Where The Girls Aren't" appeared in
DaCapo's Best of Music Writing 2004. Her piece on Warped Tour "Punk is
Dead, Long Live Punk" will appear in DaCapo's 2005 anthology, and was
also nominated for Outstanding Arts Journalism by the Society for
Professional Journalism. Her book of collected essays is forthcoming
from Akashic Books. She also maintains the Tiny Lucky Genius blog.
