Hey everyone-

well i'm back. sorry for the missed list, but my series of tubes (aka - the
innernets) was pitiful. just couldn't happen. however, i am here for a LONG time
now, so no more missed lists for a while.

anyone else catch Fort Reno last monday? what a great show. Brandon Butler,
Perfect Souvenir, and Georgie James. Muy Bueno. It was great to see Vin and the
guys from the souvenir back at it. Brandon Butler (ex-Canyon) is always good. I
have a hunch that Georgie James are going to be huge.

by the time you read this, the last Fort Reno show of the season will be over. a
HUGE thanks to Beth, Amanda and the gang that put that together again this year.
And to the sound guy (whose name escapes me, sorry. eek.) who did an excellent
job again. Can't wait until next year! They have nifty posters for sale this
year. contact them through www.fortreno.com if you want one.

give a listen to the old DIS24CD tonight. also known as the Embrace CD. what a
great album. for the uninitiated, Embrace was a band featuring Ian MacKaye,
Chris Bald, Ivor Hanson, and Michael Hampton. this was post minor threat,
pre-fugazi. about 1987. the CD is available on iTunes, or through Dischord.com
for those that still like a tangible product with their music. i know i do.

little fun fact; one of my college room mates started a label called trustkill
records. the very first CD he released was a benefit compilation that was a
cover of the entire Embrace album. a few of the featured bands included Avail,
Lifetime, Farside, Rancid and a little local band called Ashes. pretty nutty.
Hard to find, as it is now out of press. maybe eBay.
