Hey All-

well....the nice weather is over. hot sticky all over again. so it goes.

The camera obscura is officially gone. nothing but a pile of lumber. could be
reconstructed if anyone really wants it. shoot me an email if you know someone,
or somewhere that would like it.

Fort Reno beat out the weather on monday, and by all accounts was quite a
success. feel like a douche for missing it. stoopid responsibility getting in
the way. I think i got to re-prioritize my life a bit. My overall show
attendance has dropped significantly. gotta do something about that. missing way
too much good music. plus, with gas prices being what they are, indie bands are
canceling tours left and right. not surprising, but it still sucks.

On the "Ike Leggett is a corporate bitch" front. The Montgomery County council
approved a tax break package for the arts this week. Sounds like a good thing,
right? only the biggest beneficiary of this package: Live Nation and the yet
unbuilt Fillmore Live music venue to the tune of $800K a year. I know the
logistics say that the break is offset by the tax revenue that will come in from
the venue itself, but it still just makes this deal stink more and more to me.
