hey all-
saturday's otherwise warm and wonderful dead moon show was somewhat
marred (personally speaking) by some selfish fans who managed to get
me escorted out early by sabala's blind and spunout stage bouncer
when i merely attempted to defend my person from repeated and
unwarranted attacks which crescendoed when this silly little girl
decided to pour an entire PBR tallboy on my skull and i, having no
other alternative, simply reached up and moved her hand so the can
finished disgorging its contents (what a waste of beer)onto her head
instead of mine. the previously alluded to small-minded meth freak
of a stage security flunky saw (apparently) only my reaction to the
beer assault, not the trollop's provocation, and tossed me from the
club; do not pass go, do not collect $200 do not see the end of a
special dead moon halloween appearance. yet the short little guy in
the black framed glasses who was repeatedly warned up front for his
moronic antics (messing with andrew's high hat, harassing girls up
front, and just being a negative influence in general) somehow
managed to avoid ejection. sabala's gets one mulligan, and they
used it saturday night.
i'm the kind of person who is a positive influence up front at those
shows; i help people up when they fall and prevent inebriated idiots
from molesting andrew's drum kit, and send back to the band as much
of the warmth and love that they're sending out as i can, and
saturday night was no different. sabala's staff dropped the ball
and kicked out the wrong guy, but i will do nothing different in
dead moon show's to come. and so much for all the negativity and
whining.
thanks to fred, toody, and andrew for another great show, and i look
forward to putting this one behind me. see you guys down the road.
