"Reissue of the year. Fred and Toody Cole's pre Dead Moon band, the
Rats, first LP from 1980. I've had this stuff on CD-R for years and
am excited to finally have this on vinyl. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!"

"Finally a reissue of this amazing primitive/primal punk-garage lp
from (Portland) 1980!!! Fred Cole on guitar/vocals, T. Rat (Toody!)
on bass/vocals and Rod Rat on drums (and a touch of keyboards
from "Sten"). Originally released on Fred's own Whizeagle Records.
The perfect example of a band knowing what NOT to play. Straight
ahead uncontrived rock and roll. "Teenagers" is about 60 seconds
long and brilliant! Having a drummer with limitations never worked
better. RIP Rod Rat!! Thanks again Mississippi Records."

"Hey folks, we just got in 10 copies of the new reissue of the first
Rats record. The Rats were Fred and Toody Cole of Dead Moon/Pierced
Arrows' first band together in the early 1980's, and their albums
have been out of print forever. I think this pressing may be limited
to 500 copies, so we might not get any more. And 5 copies are
already sold/spoken for, so you need to act quickly (call or email
if you want to reserve one).
Oh, and yes, this is yet another Mississippi release, and I believe
it's licensed by the Coles as well."
