Casey Kasem, the radio host who told listeners for decades to =E2=80=9Ckeep=
your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars,=E2=80=9D has fini=
shed his American Top 20 song countdown. =E2=80=9CThis will be our final co=
untdown,=E2=80=9D Mr. Kasem, 77, said over the weekend on =E2=80=9CAmerican=
Top 20,=E2=80=9D ABC News reported. Mr. Kasem=E2=80=99s weekly playlists o=
f the country=E2=80=99s most popular songs started in 1970 with =E2=80=9CAm=
erican Top 40,=E2=80=9D and have been a radio staple since. While he passed=
the =E2=80=9CTop 40=E2=80=9D mic to Ryan Seacrest in 2004, he continued to=
host two abridged versions of the show. Mr. Kasem said in a statement that=
he =E2=80=9Cloved every minute=E2=80=9D of the countdowns but that the fin=
al countdown would =E2=80=9Cfree up time I need to focus on myriad other pr=
