SUMMER is here, well close, but it sure feels like summer! Lots of plans this
summer, but mostly I am kinda taken it easy. I am booking key gigs, and will
play at least a dozen to 15 guest gigs this summer until the early fall, but the
goal is quality and not quantity. Here are gigs I know about now. If you live
near these cities I hope to see you there.

Oxygen to make a mix that will cram the floor!

DJ Copper Top plays the official Tiesto After Afterparty in Chicago 05.07.06
capsule review

Before I get into the setlists I want to type briefly about my experience in
Chicago about a month ago (wow it seems like ten years now) DJing the
semi-official after afterparty for the Tiesto event at The Congress Theatre.
Some of the up-n-comings in the industrial-synth scene in Chicago helped hook me
up with this party.. but still I am pretty unclear how it happened.

Still it pretty much went like this. I showed up at 3AM and knew nobody. The
spot was a penthouse in Chicago's million dollar loop about a block from Sax
Fifth Ave. The place was cram packed (300 to 400) and other than Delobbo (gotta
love him) I didn't know a soul, and truly I may have been the only one without
an accent.. the place was packed with folks from Russia, Poland, Serbia, UK,
Germany, France.. all there for one thing.. bangin hard melodic trance and hard
techno too. They didn't have CD players but some cool kat from Poland went and
got me his CDJ's. I waited four hours to play, and the crowd stayed strong. I
hung out in the VIP room with walls of vinly records and all leather
furnishings, and well.. I was pretty scared. Finally I went on, and almost threw
up, but after a couple of rough spots.. it was all good (the zone). I guess they
want be back too. amazing. details TBA. the first setlist is the setlist from
that event.. then there are some more including my
new music night here in Indy.
