Capsule Bio: Dido Armstrong was a child prodigy; her early fascination with musical instruments resulted in her playing recorder by the age of five and classical training not long thereafter. By her teenage years she was making the rounds of the UK classical touring circuit while simultaneously developing an interest in jazz and pop. Despite all this early development, she seemed destined to commit her life to the world of book publishing like her father before her. But a few years ago she decided to go on hiatus from her literary agent job to see if she could make a go of music as a career. She was a featured vocalist on the debut album of her brother Rollo's band Faithless which ended up selling five million copies. Clive Davis, legendary president of Arista Records, heard some of her work and signed her to the label in 1997. Dido's debut album No Angel came out in the US on 1st June 1999. Her second album "Life For Rent" was released worldwide in late September 2003. Her third album, as yet untitled, has been in varying stages of development for the past few years and is slated for release sometime in the third or fourth quarter of 2008.
