New list for Baroque and Chamber Pop   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #432 of 773 |
I'd like to invite anyone who has an interest in Baroque and Chamber
pop to a mailing list I have just created for the purpose of
discussing the genre. I've noticed that while there are a number of
artist-specific mailing lists there are very few for the genre
itself.

If you're interested stop by and check it out at:

Melody and Harmony!
Mellotrons and Harpsichords!

This list was created to discuss Baroque and Chamber Pop music in all
its forms, from the classic bands: The Association, The Beach Boys,
The Beatles, Early Bee Gees, Colin Blunstone, Curt Boettcher, Burt
Bacharach, Nick Drake, The Free Design, Serge Gainsbourg, Simon &
Garfunkel, The Left Banke, Harry Nilsson, Van Dyke Parks, Scott
Walker, The Zombies etc.

to more recent ones such as: Badly Drawn Boy, Belle & Sebastian, Jon
Brion, The Decemberists, The Divine Comedy, Feist, Jellyfish, June
and the Exit Wounds, Kings of Convenience, Sondre Lerche, The
Postmarks, Emitt Rhodes, The Shins, Duncan Sheik, Elliott Smith,
Peter Bjorn and John, Sufjan Stevens, The Now People, The
Wondermints, XTC etc.

Not only these artists but in many cases there are other artists with
single tracks or albums that might fall into this category. Bring all
your hidden gems to the table!
