Drum Circle for Babatunde Olatunji, St. Paul, MN.

There is a Drum Circle, Sunday evening 4/13 at the Ellis Drum
Shop, 524 Snelling Ave., St. Paul, Mn. organized and facilitated
by Doug Christianson and Kenne Thomas. There is no fee, however
if you are able and feel so inclined please make a donation to
the Babatunde Olatunji fund. He passed away on April
6th and a collection is being made to help fulfill his wish
of having his body returned to Africa.  Monies collected will
be forwarded to Jaqui MacMillan, Baba's close associate in
Washington D.C. For those not familiar with the man, he is a
mentor and inspiration to many of us; players, teachers, and
facilitators. He produced the seminal Drums of Passion album in
1959 which for many Americans was the first exposure to the rich
musical styles of Africa. He was truly an example of how a lifes
work can touch so many  people. Please come and share
drumming, thoughts, and friendship on Baba's behave.
