Dear Drummers,

Please join us for a Djembe and Dunun Drumming workshop, on the beach round the
fire, every wednesday evening, starting at 7PM at South Carlsbad State beach
(Also known as South Ponto Beach) 1/2 blk. north of La Costa Ave. on Coast hwy
101, Carlsbad, Ca 92011

All Skill Levels are Welcome, Rhythms will be assigned accordingly to make it
both accessible, interesting and FUN for all! Extra Drums are provided for those
without, courtesy of Remo World Percussion.
Admission is $10 including drum to use if you do not have one.

We will learn rhythms for both Djembe and Dununs, songs, cultural contexts and
ethnic origins of Malinke Rhythms. The workshop is 1.5 hours, and goes until
8:30pm. After 8:30 pm there is a community drumming & Dance Circle which goes
until 10PM. ($5 suggested donation)

This Wednesday evening will be a full moon, nice and warm and we expect approx.
50 participants, it should be spectacular!
