Greetings dancers and drummers --
There is still room for you at Camp
Fareta 2009, Youssouf Koumbassa's West African drum and dance camp in central
California! The full camp dates are July 12-18 but you can come for any days of
your choosing, and we're waiving the late fee, so come on out and join us! Plus
we still need some more work-exchange folks, so get in touch if you'd like a
break on the price.
We'll have three dance classes
and two drum classes a day, fun evening events, a gourmet international menu,
Kids Camp for the young ones (or they can participate in classes), warm, sunny
weather, and work-exchange
for anyone who wants a break on the camp fees. Past campers still rave
about the food, the harmonious vibe, and classes that were off the
hook!
There will also be beginner-level
dance classes, fun evening events, including great drum jams, and some djembe
technique classes taught by senior students. The camp has a lake for swimming
and
boating and it's near Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, so it's a
beautiful vacation for nature-lovers too!
Check the website -- http://www.dancingvillage.com/camp_fareta.php -- for
information on registration, work-exchange, Kids Camp, artists confirmed to be
there, photos and more. We're waiving the late fee, but please do pre-register
if you can, to make it easier for our chef to provide enough food for everyone.
Youssouf and
the rest of the crew hope to see you at Camp Fareta next week. You know you
wanna be there, so make it happen!
peace,
christina
