Contempt, NYC's premiere DIY, all-volunteer-run goth/industrial/alternative
event, has been entertaining the dark masses for TEN YEARS. It's high time we
marked this auspicious occasion with our biggest, baddest birthday celebration
EVER.

On SATURDAY (yes, SATURDAY!!!!), September 20th 2008...

Our anniversary parties have evolved into the can't-miss event of the year, and
we're pulling out all the stops for the Big 1-0. After all,
club events don't turn 10 every day in New York City!

FEAST FOR THE EARS:

Ten-year resident DJ SUBVERT is joined by DJS CYPHER and HI-FI HILLARY to
provide the soundtrack to our revelry on our GIANT dancefloor with their mix of
ALTERNATIVE, INDUSTRIAL, EBM, GOTH, SYNTHPOP, and whatever else suits the mood.

FEAST FOR THE EYES:

The BLACK AND WHITE BALL will feature our first-ever curated ART SHOW
featuring the work of Carrie Ann Baade, Sweets Becker, Chris Conte, Lark
Davis, Danielle Ezzo, Louis Guidone, Natalie Kocsis, John Kolbek, Paul
Komoda, Samantha Levin, Laura (Mistress) McCutchan, Talissa Mehringer, Alain
Leriche, Dan Ouellette, and William Welles.

A special ARTISTS' RECEPTION begins at 9:30
--come early and meet the artists!

VJ DASKREESTOF will dazzle you on the big screens.
And of course, the Contempt GO GOs will be beaming their
10th Anniversary pride from the stage.
