Drums not Guns is rockin this summer!

Sunday, August 24, 2003, is the 10th Drums Around the World.

We are going to be drumming at SMU's Ministry Expo (for 1st year students)
5:00 - 6:00 pm. and 7:00 pm til they throw us out.

And, ya'll are invited to join us as we rock the SMU campus with drums and
percussion.

All SMU alumni are invited, too.

DIRECTIONS:

Our next DnG gig is for SMU's Ministry Expo, Sunday, Aug 24. Load in @ 5
pm. Parking will be an issue, so, I suggest that we all meet at my house at
4:00 pm, load drums, then, we'll go pick up Michael and his drums, then we
can car-pool to SMU. Will this work for everyone?

Our schedule is:

Load in @ 5 pm.
Start drumming til 6 pm
Speakers for abt an hour. We'll listen or wonder abt.
We start drumming, again, at 7 pm and can play until they throw us out!

And, please, bring drum stools to sit on while drumming, or, you'll be
standing.

Here are the directions/location:

LOCATION: SOUTH QUAD
Bishop Blvd

75 to Mockingbird Exit.
From Mockingbird, turn west toward SMU. Turn right on Bishop Blvd. which
is b/t the football practice field and the large Methodist church. The event
will be held in the south quad which is the quad across from Perkins chapel
on Bishop Blvd. It is a great place to host event since most of first year
students reside in these dorms. Parking will be a problem for everyone with
construction. All of you can enter from the back alley of the quad (behind
Natatorium). i asked about parking passes and it sounds like they wont be
able to provide that. we'll make it work!
