22nd Annual Spring Percussion 'Bash' The annual Spring Percussion Bash which will feature "A Celebration of African Music" with the UT-Arlington Percussion Ensemble, African Ensemble, Brazilian Samba Band, and African music ensembles from across the metroplex.

“Celebration of African Music and Culture”
On Wednesday April 16, 7:30 pm in Texas Hall
(701 W. Nedderman Dr. - 1 block West of S. Cooper St.) on the campus of
UTArlington many of the finest African music groups in North Texas will
perform in celebration of the month-long residency of the universities
first Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Olusanjo Daramola from Nigeria.
Featured in the evening performance will be:

Gideon Alorwoyie and The University of North Texas African Ensemble
S-Ankh and Kumaasi African Ensemble
Baba Kwasi and Ayubu Kamau Sacred Afrikan Drum and Dance Society

Ferdinand Bangirinama and Burundian Drummers Association
Rukinzo, Lucy Mashua and Voice for the Voiceless Refugee Choir

Tickets can be purchased at the door. ($5) Proceeds go to a scholarship fund
