Get Mohamed's latest CD "Ala Na Na"!!
Experience authentic West African music at its best!
Mohamed's great new CD, Ala Na Na (God is There), will be available to purchase as well!
"Ala Na Na" (2007) is Mohamed Diaby's second release, the first being "Karamba Dinke (Karamba's Son)" (1997). Recorded in California, "Ala Na Na" includes 10 tracks based on traditional West African rhythms, which are used to celebrate different stages of life. Mohamed Diaby, a professional djembe soloist and teacher, plays ALL instruments and provides vocals on many of the tracks. Diaby also creates all the arrangements on the CD thus stamping his unique personal style on the musical heritage passed down to him from his brother and first teacher, Moustapha Diaby.
Thanks for the support, and we hope to see you all in class!!
