I have changed the lyrics of Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas?" to yield a song called "Do They Know It's G8 Time?", which we will record soon and distribute free of charge on the internet (including at www.galaxiamusic.org) and possibly on CDs. We may also supply some CDs to shops, with proceeds going to campaigns, socialist and autonomous organisations and charities (especially those which campaign as well as alleviate some of the problems of capitalism) via the Galaxia Foundation for the World Socialist Revolution.

I have put the draft lyrics for the song as a file in this group (click here for it in plain text or here for it as a Microsoft Word file) and on the Galaxia website. I am encouraging people to print out, photocopy and distribute the Word file, especially during G8 events and at airports, to publicise the issues involved at the G8 summit, the need to go on strike, and of course Galaxia.

I have also written the start of another Galaxia song, The Revolution Starts Now!, which is timely considering that the world socialist revolution will start with events around the G8 summit.
