Description
Receive information from jordan galland (and his webmaster) about dopo yume, his other bands, his music, his movies, his appearences, and all the etceteras that go along w/it.
Formed when Jordan Galland was 18, former band members include Sean Lennon, Yuka Honda, Timo Ellis, Miho Hatori, (all from Cibo Matto) among others. They have shared the stage with all of the above as well as Rufus Wainwright, Phantom Planet, OK GO and more.
In it's present carnation, Dopo Yume features Jordan on vocals and guitar, David Muller on drums, and Adam Crystal on synth bass and keyboards. These kindred spirits helped forge the Dopo Yume sound, and grind Jordan’s expansive, nearly psychedelic rock epics down into focused pop gems. The result is reminiscent of 80's Bowie with the edginess of East Village rock. The music has audiences dancing and singing along.
This is music for the mind and the body. Music for the heartbroken, for those swept up in the glory of love, and for those who just love to work it out on the dance floor.
