Drivin Rain guitarest Tommy DeWolf dies sunday at home
DRIvIN' RIN is heart broken to announce that lead guitarist and founding member Tommy DeWolf died over the weekend at his home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Full details are unknown at this time but the band will release a full statement soon.
Tommy help found DRIvIN' RAIN in 1994 and was the key songwritter for the band. Writing songs like "ALaw Against Me", "Hellwater", "Cracks in The Armor" and many other. He recorded two full albums with DRIvIN' RAIN.
Tommy also played in The Mary Ramsey Band, and has been in many other bands in the past.
His last show was Friday April 13 in Champaign Illinois where the band had opened for L.A. GUNS and AMERICAN DOG at The Highdive. Band singer Timexx Nasty said "Tommy was so excited to have opened for L.A. GUNS, that night during LAGs show Tommy grabed me and said, You remember when we use to watch these guys on headbangers ball and say someday we'll opene for them....well we're here, we did it." Timexx also added "Tommy was so excited to have gottento hang out with Tracii Guns. Tracii had told Tommy he really liked his style and that it looke dlike he had 12 fingers, Tommy was on top of the world. And now he's gone."
