101 Drum Circle Rhythms is now on DVD, so it is easier to see how
they are played. Each rhythm is vocalized for a few bars, then the
rhythm starts slowly and builds up to normal tempo. This makes it
easier to get them quicker and get right into it.

What you will see in the DVD is just a close up of a drum
head and two hands playing it. No talking, graphics, faces, or other
distractions. There are two full hours of rhythms in all, each about
a minute long. A total of 125 excellent, and fun to play foundational
drum circle rhythms for the hand drum.

This DVD was done in MPEG so I could get a full two hours of material
on there. As a result, the video quality is reduced a little. I went
more for content rather than production quality here. That way I
could get more in there at a lower price. After all, this is not
supposed to be a performance, just a demonstration of interesting
rhythms from around the world in all genres. Funk, groove, blues,
jazz, african, hiatian, jamacian, puerto rican, south american,
taiko, middle eastern, and so on.

Many of the rhythms from my CD's were used, but there are a lot of
new ones for you to try out and enjoy. These are challenging enough
for experienced musicians, yet easy enough so that someone new to
hand drumming can grow into them. These rhythms are
great for drum circle facilitators as well.
